When you arrive you slowly start to take over You invade my thoughts Swarm around in my head You take a hold of me so tightly I cannot breathe You consume me So much that I cannot find me. I am paralyzed with you
swimming through my veins Poison Flooding my cells Drowning everything that wants to come forth Everything that is within me. Nowhere to go in my mind without you there Not even a tiny crevice, an alcove where I can take refuge, from you. And so I move. I dance. I shake. I sway. I allow my body to do whatever it would like to. And there I am again. I submerge and you dissolve. We cannot be together yet. Maybe someday. But not today. © Jackie L Hutchings | August 2018
